Roadside litter might not be very noticeable when driving by at 55 mph. However, take a walk along Constitution Trail or any park path, and the number of discarded cans and bottles becomes disgustingly obvious.
This problem seems to have grown as the popularity of bottled water has increased. At least those who discard beer cans can claim alcohol impaired their judgment. That's a poor excuse, but what explanation is there for the fitness freaks who toss empty bottles from water and sports drinks?See the full content of this document
