Summary
With all due respect to fellow veteran Philip Buffinton, ("Foreign interests own port facilities now," YourViews, March 6), I would suggest that we can no longer rationalize around the abuses and misguided machinations this administration has perpetrated on the American people. We can no longer allow our fiscally responsible, compassionate conservative president to "unite" us further by overspending like a drunken sailor.
No longer can we watch our deficit rise to levels our children will be responsible for. No longer can we stand idle while science is ridiculed and ignored. No longer can we volunteer our children to fight in the wars of others. No longer can we praise those in harm's way, while cutting the benefits they so richly earned. No longer can we allow an assault on our elderly and the programs that help sustain them, so that the richest of us may prosper even more. No longer can we allow children to go without healthcare, nor a healthy meal. No longer can we allow the outsourcing of our national security and our jobs to foreign nations. No longer can we stand for environmental protections to be weakened, to the detriment of our very existence.See the full content of this document
