Summary


To paraphrase Winston Churchill on democracy, our free markets are the worst possible form of economic organization "except all the others that have been tried from time to time."

The first decade of century 21 is almost past and times are tough. Critics assert that this road of business freedom is rough; uncertain; full of employment dislocations and economic inequality; and promotes the concept "greed is good." Reviewing the past 10 years, the case can seem strong. In the recent financial meltdown, greed trumped thoughtful management and brought us into what is being called "the great recession."
