HEYWORTH -- While many Heyworth residents aren't happy with the state of their police department, they are happy there are fewer officers on the payroll after the departure of the chief and four officers in recent weeks.

"I think there were just way too many officers in that department for a town this size," resident Brad Kindred said. "There were times when I saw three different officers on duty at night. That's just a waste of money."
