BLOOMINGTON -- The Illinois Commerce Commission is raising doubts about the city of Bloomington's plan to create its own emergency dispatching center.

The commission's 911 program manager, Marci Schroll, recently indicated in a letter that Bloomington won't be granted a separate license for a stand-alone dispatch center because McLean County already has been granted authority to provide emergency service to the area.
