BLOOMINGTON -- A Kane County man pleaded innocent Friday to charges accusing him of robbing a Twin City bank and trying to escape in a stolen car.
Charles J. Stringer, 42, of Hampshire, entered the plea during a brief appearance in McLean County Circuit Court. He faces two counts of robbery and two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with the Aug. 6 heist of the Bank of Illinois, 102 W.
