BLOOMINGTON -- Central Illinois ag leaders said Friday the state could lose its agricultural clout if the governor succeeds in moving 11 percent of the Illinois Department of Agriculture's employees to other agencies.

Under Gov. Rod Blagojevich's proposal for IDA realignment, 60 of 526 employees in the land and water resource division and environmental programs division would move to the Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
