FARMER CITY - Customers will experience a blast from the past with the reopening of Dewey's Drive-In in Farmer City. Co-owner P.J. Foster stayed true to the diner's roots, which included a 51-year run before it closed in 2007.
"It's decorated in a '50s theme. We're going back to the tradition of when Dewey (Gronau) had it," said Foster, who purchased the business on U.S. 150 with her husband, Jimmy Foster, three years ago. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, the menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled and breaded chicken sandwiches, tenderloin sandwiches, french fries, fried mushrooms, onion rings and various ice cream treats.See the full content of this document
