PONTIAC - Ways to build interest in the story of Abraham Lincoln in Central Illinois - and to stimulate related tourism - were on the minds of people who gathered at brainstorming sessions Wednesday in Lincoln and Pontiac.

The events were sponsored by the Illinois Looking for Lincoln group, which is part of the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Coalition. The coalition oversees the 42-county National Lincoln Heritage Area, which was established by Congress in 2008 to use $15 million in grants to help promote and preserve the 16th president's legacy.
