PONTIAC - Leah Bend remembers looking at the buttons from past Pontiac First Night celebrations - many of them created using computer generated images.

She never thought her own artwork would one day appear on the buttons, which act as admission tickets to the New Years Eve events. For the first time in several years, however, a hand drawing from a local artist - Bend - is being used to promote the event, said Lori Fairfield, executive director of Pontiac Redeveloping Our United Downtown, which sponsors the event.
