OTTAWA - The battle of psychiatrists determining the sanity of Keith Mackowiak, facing the death penalty on a charge of killing an elderly Seneca couple, will begin Dec. 5.
The state is charging Mackowiak, 40, of Seneca, with killing Aloysius Twardowski, 84, and his wife, Catherine, 87, in their home July 12, 2007, during an interrupted burglary. He has been trying to plead guilty and fire his lawyers ever since.See the full content of this document
