Hooray! There is progress in Bloomington-Normal's public school systems -- a long-overdue joint meeting of the two systems' boards of education.
It was heartening to read that the boards from Normal-based Unit 5 and Bloomington's District 87 are finally going to have a joint meeting on Aug. 31. What a nice way to kick off a new school year. It is the first such meeting in at least nine years, although there have been cooperative ventures among school administrations in recent years.See the full content of this document
