NORMAL -- Undergraduates arriving this fall at Illinois State University will pay 14.2 percent more in tuition than current students, the ISU board of trustees decided Friday, but that rate will be locked in for their time at ISU.

Trustees and administrators at the meeting discussed worries about the increasing burden of tuition on students. They agreed, however, they had no choice but to approve the increase, given the continuing decline in state funds.
