Police Investigating Death; Girlfriend Charged with Lying

BLOOMINGTON -- A 30-year-old Honduras native remained in jail Tuesday on charges she lied to police about her boyfriend's death last week on Bloomington's east side.

Guadelupe Medina of the 1200 block of Orchard Road, Bloomington, was held in lieu of $5,000 on a charge of obstructing justice. It was unclear Tuesday if she will face other charges in the death of Alberto Ramos, also 30, a native of Guatemala who prosecutors say was stabbed to death Thursday in his apartment in the 1200 block of Orchard Road.
