PONTIAC - He tried to get out, but a former Pontiac Correctional Center inmate will spend more time behind bars after he was found guilty Tuesday of trying to escape.

A Livingston County jury found Anthony S. White, 23, guilty of attempted escape of a penal institution, one count of aggravated battery and one count of kidnapping. He was found not guilty of a second count of aggravated battery, Livingston County Circuit Judge Jennifer Bauknecht said.
