NORMAL -- Three Normal police officers have been honored by their union as the state's top cops for subduing a man -- who barricaded himself in his apartment with a child -- before the standoff could turn deadly.
Patrolmen Kevin Henderson, David Ludington and Todd Weir were named Officers of the Year by the Police Benevolent and Protective Association of Illinois.
