Most of the attention on the Iraq war seems to be focused on bad news -- and there is plenty of it. As much as we celebrate the return of the Bartonville-based 724th Transportation Company, we remember three of its members did not come home: two were killed, one was captured -- his fate unknown.
Less attention is paid to the good news and good deeds. That includes the U.S. military personnel who interact with Iraqis, giving toys and candy to children, providing hope for the future. It also includes soldiers and Marines who have done their jobs with distinction in a kill-or-be-killed environment.See the full content of this document
