Help Is Available to Buyers with Problems

Summary

In December, I purchased a hot tub from a dealer. The contract was signed and everything was in place for the sale to be completed. The problems began as soon as the hot tub was delivered. The owner of the establishment tried to change the contract so that I owed much more money than what was agreed upon. He tried all sorts of different tactics such as threats to remove the hot tub, bullying threats about knowing more people in this community who could really make my life difficult and threatening to use the police to intervene. After it became apparent that we were not going to agree, I ordered him off my property.

I decided that I was going to file a complaint about the way this owner attempted to breach the agreement with whoever would listen to me. I wanted to remind consumers that if this should happen to them, there are agencies that can help intervene on your behalf. I contacted the local agencies here in town as well as the Better Business Bureau. Each of these agencies was able to assist me with the problem that I was having and contacted the business directly. Finally in the end, the problem was taken care of and I was able to prevail.
