'Group Effort' Appreciated in Lincoln's $14.9m Budget

LINCOLN - In the final Lincoln City Council meeting for outgoing Mayor Beth Davis-Kavelman, the council passed a $14.9 million budget, which will go into effect Friday.

"This budget was a group effort," finance committee Chairman Melody Anderson said. "It took a number of us working together on this to make it happen. Lincoln City Clerk Susan Gehlbach and her staff really stepped up, and without Treasurer Les Plotner, we would have been lost."
