Freedom was the central theme of President Bush's second inaugural address. But just how free is the world?Better than it has been, at least according to Freedom House, the U.S.-based non- governmental organization that tracks such things.

Less than half the 192 countries in the world are considered free, according to the group's annual report, Freedom in the World 2005.
