CHENOA - Although the Chenoa chapter of the Boys & Girls Club opened less than six months ago, the impact is already evident on the students and the community, say club advocates who have asked the city for financial help.

Parent Kim Marshall said there has been a shortage of licensed day-care providers in Chenoa, so having the club for her 7-year-old son, Cole, has allowed her a child-care option for when she's at work.
