Summary
I have read that people in favor of the federal marriage amendment feel they are somehow "upholding the institution of marriage" by not allowing gay men and lesbians to marry.
In my opinion, there is nothing that degrades the institution of marriage more than the no-fault divorce. Introduced in the early 1970s, the no-fault laws made it so that anyone could leave a marriage at anytime, for whatever reason.See the full content of this document
