Recently, a writer attempted to disprove the theory of evolution by discussing the big-bang theory. The two theories are completely unrelated. Evolution deals with biology, whereas the big-bang involves physics. Either theory can be true even if the other is false.
Nor does the existence of God render either theory invalid, as the writer seemed to believe. In its simplest form, the big-bang states that all matter in the universe started in a big mass, which exploded. Many people believe God created that ball of matter and the laws of physics that forced the debris to coalesce into stars and planets.
