We are writing to support your editorial position of Feb. 5, regarding the value of the Illinois Best Practice Study and your embedded comments on school funding.

We commend the Illinois Business Roundtable and Illinois State University for their leadership in the Best Practice project conducted through the National Center for Educational Accountability. What many readers may not know is that the source of the data that NCEA and ISU are using for analysis is the Illinois State Board of Education.
