DANVERS - Orvetta J. Girdler, 83, of Danvers, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 15, 2008) at McLean County Nursing Home.
Orvetta was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Gridley, to Alvin J. and Lorene June Shoemaker McClure. She married Ernest E. Girdler. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Dale and Emery McClure, and two sisters, Ruth Yoder and Carol Maurer.Orvetta is survived by one son, Steve (Sandy) Girdler of Danvers; three grandsons, Darin Wade (Karen) Girdler of Highland, their three sons, Justin Wade Girdler, Brennan Ried Girdler and Jack Alvin Patrick Girdler, all of Highland; grandson Braydn Robert (Jennifer) Girdler of Des Moines; and grandson, Ryan E.
