STREATOR - Kate Tombaugh, an Illinois Wesleyan University May graduate, received the scholarship from the Italian Cultural Society.
Tombaugh, daughter of Larry and Kathy Tombaugh of Streator, graduated in May with bachelor's degrees in English literature and vocal performance.She will spend the summer teaching at Heartland Community College. In the fall, she will audition for regional theater and opera. She also teaches private voice lessons.NONPROFIT HONOREagle scoutBLOOMINGTON - Quentin Ellis VanDermay-Kirkham of Bloomington has obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of Robin VanDermay and Morgan Kirkham and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 20, Crossroads District, W.D. Boyce Council.He is a long-time newspaper carrier for the Pantagraph and lifeguard for Normal Parks Department. He will attend Illinois State University in the fall after graduating from NCHS. He was also a starter on the NCHS champion 6A football team.SCHOLARSHIPHome BuildersLeROY - Jordan P.
