It's too bad that several of our elected city councilmen - Rich Veitengruber, Tom Whalen and Mike Matejka - chose not to cross an informational picket line set up by the Bloomington firefighters union prior to a recent City Council meeting.
As each of these councilmen have union ties, I understand why they made this choice rather than to attend the city council meeting at which a major arena issue was on the agenda - discussion of whether to approve a $3 million-plus expenditure to construct the arena parking garage.See the full content of this document
