Clinton High School running back John Smith rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown and also caught a TD pass as the Maroons fell to Central A&M, 28-12, Friday night in an Okaw Valley Conference football game at Clinton.

The Maroons (1-1, 1-1) trailed 20-0 when Smith scored Clinton's first touchdown on a 26-yard run with 9:22 remaining in the third quarter. He followed that by hauling in a seven-yard TD reception from quarterback Dustin Hubble at the 6:16 mark of the third period.
