BLOOMINGTON -- On this Flag Day, American flags on rooftops or in front of buildings continue to fly at half-staff in memory of former President Ronald Reagan.

Old Glory, which is marking its 227th birthday today, will remain at half-staff through July 3. Flag Day was created in 1949 when President Harry Truman signed legislation creating the national observance.
