Over $3,750 was raised in the recent Normal Avenue Historic Walk & Garden Tour. The United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church, Normal, thank all those who participated:- A special thanks to 11 homeowners who planted, pruned and weeded for hours to provide outstanding award-winning gardens.- Historian Greg Koos of the McLean County Historical Society gave an informative and entertaining presentation of the homes of Normal Avenue.- Storyteller Vivian Carter of the Twin City Tale Spinners enthusiastically shared secrets of past Normal Avenue residents.
The money raised will support mission work of the United Methodist Women locally - the Compassion Center and The Baby Fold, and internationally.See the full content of this document
